Official academic transcripts (received in a closed university envelope) are only required if you are offered admission Curriculum Vitae: A curriculum vitae/resumé indicating your past academic and professional experience Personal Statement: A statement explaining why you would like to do graduate work in Recreation and Leisure Studies, and the particular area of research that you are interested in pursuing. If you are applying to the PhD program, please also indicate two or three faculty members with whom you anticipate working (see faculty members- research interests) Recommendation Letter: Two letters of reference (if unable to supply two academic references, please obtain one academic and one from an employer) Other Document: Competency in written expression - including evidence of ability to conceptualize, organize ideas and reason Writing Sample: Applicants must submit one substantial example of their work completed during the last two years of academic study.
